GE Healthcare unveils service portfolio

16th February 2009

GE Healthcare has launched its newest service portfolio of point of care anaesthesia products.

The items are categorised under four agreements – RapidCare, CommectCare, AdvanceCare and ValueCare – and can be chosen by customers, depending on the treatments required.

GE Healthcare noted the systems can be finely tuned and customised, along with optional features including immediate backup, vaporiser efficacy tests and any software upgrades.

Mike Battuello, general manager of GE Healthcare’s point of care’s devices department, said: “Customers gave us a good idea of the things they valued most at the point of care.”

“This allowed us to completely overhaul our service portfolio to align with their priorities.”

In November last year, the organisation’s Visipaque treatment was found to lower the risk of contrast-induced nephropathy in patients who had chronic kidney disease, in comparison to iopromide.

The therapy also reduced cardiovascular events in the subjects.
