GE Healthcare’s Caradigm venture highlights strong growth
GE Healthcare and Microsoft's recently-launched joint venture Caradigm has highlighted the success enjoyed by its identity and access management (IAM) solutions portfolio.
Over the last 18 months, a record increase of nearly 50 percent has been noted in the number of active end users of Caradigm IAM products, with more than 858,000 healthcare professionals now using these solutions.
Offerings such as Vergence and expreSSO have adopted market-leading positions in the US acute and subacute markets, while the solutions are now estimated as being used in more than 1,000 hospitals worldwide.
Jim Campbell, vice-president of IAM at Caradigm, said: "We're focused on … continually extending the power of the IAM portfolio to meet the evolving needs of health systems."
Caradigm was established as a 50/50 joint venture by GE Healthcare and Microsoft last month and is based in Bellevue, Washington.
Dedicated to the commercialisation of Caradigm software, the company is led by a team of executives from both parent companies.
