Geistlich Pharma hails continued growth in 2010

23rd March 2011

Geistlich Pharma has reported satisfaction with the growth of its business in the last year.

The dental supplies manufacturer states that its sales grew by double figures during 2010 compared to the previous year, despite the impact on currency conversions from the strong Swiss franc.

It stated that this growth reflects its commitment in future investments following the recession of 2009, with the company retaining a market-leading position in regenerative dentistry via its Geistlich Biomaterials business unit.

Meanwhile, 2010 also saw the company mark the 50th anniversary of its UK subsidiary Geistlich Sons, which is based in Chester.

The firm now intends to build on the expansion strategies it has employed in recent years and make further science investments based on its established expertise in regeneration.

Paul Note, chief executive officer of Geistlich Pharma, said: "We feel that the dental implant market has recovered, albeit slowly, but we are confident that the upward trend will continue."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800473432-ADNFCR
