Genitrix donates dog chews to Blue Cross charity

29th September 2009

Genitrix has marked Pet Smile Month by giving each dog under the care of the Blue Cross charity’s re-homing centres a month-long supply of its Dentagen chews.

The product, which is designed to help prevent the build-up of plaque in canines, contains the plant extract RF2, which acts as an anti-biofilm agent and modifies the membrane of oral bacteria.

“It’s important that new dog owners understand the importance of effective dental health for their pet and we hope that the [?] chews will encourage them to adopt an effective dental regime,” explained Rob Watkins, marketing director of Genitrix.

The firm sponsors Pet Smile Month and is donating the product to support Blue Cross’ efforts to maintain the dental health of the dogs it cares for.

In August, Genitrix announced that it had created a model of a horse, which is nicknamed Howie after the company’s managing director Howard Wilder, for the exclusive use of the emergency services.
