Genitrix launches Prilben treatment for dogs and cats

6th August 2010

Genitrix has launched Prilben, a benazapril hydrochloride-containing animal health product designed for use among dogs and cats.

The treatment is part of the company’s Standards range and is specified as a therapy for canine congestive heart failure, while treating chronic renal insufficiency among cats.

It follows the late 2009 introduction of the sedative and analgesic Dormilan, a fast-acting product which was the first to be released in the Standards line.

The purpose of the range is to provide veterinary practices with cost-effective versions of tried and trusted medicines which are already well-established among animal health experts and consumers.

Rob Watkins, marketing director of Genitrix, said: “Prilben offers a win for both practices and pet owners because its pricing structure enables practices to maintain profitability on the product whilst still providing their clients with an economical alternative.”

Last month, Genitrix agreed a deal to become the exclusive UK distributor of premium recovery diet products developed by US-based animal health firm Oxbow Professional.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800015550-ADNFCR
