Genitrix offers dosing wheel for canine epilepsy drug Libromide

30th September 2010

Genitrix is to provide veterinary practices with a free dosing wheel to accompany the recent launch of its canine epilepsy treatment Libromide.

The specially-designed wheel allows animal health professionals to easily calculate the correct dosage of the drug according to the dog's bodyweight, while also providing information on epilepsy care and bromide serum testing.

Genitrix explained that it has released the wheel to ensure accurate administration of its drug, which is the first potassium bromide-based treatment in the world to be licensed for refractory canine epilepsy.

Rob Watkins, marketing director at Genitrix, stated that canine neurology experts have been consulted over the design of the wheel.

He added: "Following the launch of Libromide and the discounted blood test service, the dosing wheel is an additional initiative to help improve treatment approaches for canine epilepsy."

Earlier this month, the company released a new toothpaste product for domestic animals as part of its expanding Dentagen range.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800092020-ADNFCR
