Genitrix says it wants to take advantage of opportunities

3rd March 2009

Genitrix is keen to ensure it has a complete sales team to take advantage of future prospects in the market, it has stated.

The comment came from the company’s marketing director Rob Watkins after the announcement that two new account managers have been appointed.

Sandra Gattward will take on the role for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the English borders. Previously she has worked as veterinary business manager for Schering Plough Animal Health.

Rhian Marcham has been appointed the position in the south west. His latest role was for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in the human health sector as a GP and hospital sales representative.

Mr Watkins explained that Genitrix is still receiving demand for its products, especially for equines and exotics, despite the current market conditions.

He commented: “With more significant product launches planned for 2009, we’re keen to ensure that our sales team is fully resourced and poised to capitalise on the undoubted opportunities that the market offers.”

The veterinary products company began trading in 1998 and aims to work with the sector to promote high standards of animal health and welfare.
