Genus Breeding announces new sire

Genus Breeding has announced a new Canadian sire Fradon Jet-Red, out of Fradon R Mark Jodie-Red EX91.

His mother was given the title of Grand Champion at 2004’s Quebec International Red and White Show and he comes from “one of Canada’s great cow families” as the previous eight generations have all been classed as VG or EX, Genus ABS states.

Genus Breeding is a global provider of genetics and reproductive services, with outlets in more than 70 countries.

The company is part of ABS Global, which is a division of Genus. Genus is located in Hampshire and has a research facility in Wisconsin.

According to Genus: “The company’s proprietary technology, products and services enable producers and farmers to enhance milk and meat quality and improve efficiency through the application of genetic selection.”

The company is also the main supplier of breeding animals for pig farmers, possessing up to 40 per cent of the American market share.
