GlaxoSmithKline launches new dental gel
GlaxoSmithKline has devised a new kind of dental gel that it claims has the ability to reach all corners of the mouth and in between the teeth for a cleaner feeling.
The firm, which is also behind the Aquafresh and Sensodyne brands, has now introduced its new Iso-Active Foaming Gel, which boasts a “revolutionary” new delivery system that disperses its active ingredients promptly in order to tackle difficult-to-reach parts of the mouth.
It comes in a canister and turns from a gel into a foam once it is placed inside the mouth due to the active ingredient isopentane, which is capable of responding to its environment in a matter of seconds.
“The rich active foam that is produced when Iso-Active reacts with the warmth of the mouth is a new technology never used before in the oral health care category,” explained David Urquhart, principal scientist of new product development at GlaxoSmithKline.
