GlaxoSmithKline names new EMEA head of consumer healthcare
GlaxoSmithKline has announced the appointment of Tamara Rogers as the regional head of its consumer healthcare business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Ms Rogers joins the company from Unilever and has been appointed as the successor to Erhard Heck, who is retiring from GlaxoSmithKline. In her new role, she will be tasked with building the firm's consumer health brands and developing digital marketing campaigns.
She cited GlaxoSmithKline's strong teams and market-leading brands as key reasons for taking on the role, as well as praising the company for its dedication to its consumer wellness mission.
Brian McNamara, chief executive officer of GlaxoSmithKline's consumer healthcare business, said: "Her passion and proven track record for building powerhouse brands and delivering strong results consistently across multiple markets and categories will be tremendous assets to our business."
He also cited Ms Rogers' digital and ecommerce expertise as significant assets that will aid her leadership of the EMEA business.
