Haemonetics wins praise for corporate responsibility

24th March 2010

Haemonetics has been honoured for its corporate and social responsibility by the Center for Companies That Care.

The not-for-profit organisation has named the blood management solutions specialist on its 2010 Companies That Care Honor Roll following a review of its business practices and employee feedback.

Among the attributes for which the company won praise was its commitment to providing a high-quality working environment, as well as its contributions to the wider community.

Brian Concannon, president and chief executive officer of Haemonetics, stated that this progress has been made possible thanks to its policy of employee participation and inclusiveness.

He added: “We are honoured to know that the feedback from our employees has earned us this designation and we look forward to continuing this journey with our employees.”

Last week, the company agreed to license several reagents from Alba Bioscience in order to support the development of its Arryx blood typing platform.
