Hanover appoints new healthcare director

Hanover has announced the appointment of Frances Beves to a directorial role within its its healthcare brand and corporate comms team.

Ms Beves' career has included a variety of senior roles both in-house and at comms agencies. She served ten years as director of European communications at Lilly and has also held international positions at GlaxoSmithKline and GE Healthcare.

She will join Hanover in August 2015 and will help to bolster its growing expertise in healthcare communications, following a number of significant UK and pan-European comms and policy wins in the last few months.

Its current client roster includes high-profile businesses such as Celltrion Healthcare, Lilly, UCB, Amgen, Novo Nordisk and Napp.

Andrew Harrison, Hanover's director of global healthcare, said Ms Beves "brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and her time in-house means that she has a depth of understanding of the needs of our clients".

This comes after Thomas Cawston, formerly of Policy Exchange, was recently hired as a senior account director within its healthcare practice.
