Hanover appoints senior account director for healthcare practice

Hanover Communications has announced the appointment of Thomas Cawston, formerly of Policy Exchange, as a senior account director within its healthcare practice.

Mr Cawston will be tasked with overseeing the agency's NHS policy and market access accounts, delivering strategic advice and support to clients across the healthcare, pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, reports Gorkana.

He will also support the development of the team's Health Policy Intelligence programme, a healthcare reform-oriented thought leadership platform.

During his time at Policy Exchange, he served as head of the health unit, while prior to this he was the research director at the thinktank Reform, where he led the healthcare programme.

Andrew Harrison, Hanover's director of global healthcare, said: "He is a brilliant addition to our team and reflects Hanover's continuing ability to attract the best and brightest talent in the market."

The agency appointed Emma Eatwell as its European healthcare head towards the end of last year.
