Henry Schein CEO wins 2015 Callahan Memorial Award

Henry Schein's chief executive officer (CEO) and chairman Stanley Bergman has been presented with an industry accolade to recognise the company's efforts to advance access to oral healthcare.

Awarded annually by the Ohio Dental Association (ODA), the scheme honours individuals who have made great contributions to the industry and improved the quality of oral health among members of the public.

Henry Schein was praised for helping organised dentistry highlight the importance of oral health, championing dentistry as a vital part of primary care, and organising impactful outreach missions. 

This award also reflects the long collaborative relationship between Henry Schein and the ODA.

Mr Bergman said his award win "is a reflection of the shared commitment of more than 18,000 Team Schein Members, who work tirelessly to help our customers advance access to healthcare around the world".

Last month, the company launched its own new awards scheme, the Henry Schein Cares Medal, which will acknowledge the work of those striving to improve access to care.
