Henry Schein is providing donations of healthcare products and funding in order to assist in relief efforts following recent floods in Pakistan.

The dental care company is allying with organisations such as Direct Relief and International Medical Corps in order to provide essential supplies to victims, in accordance with its Henry Schein Cares global social responsibility programme.

In addition, it has established a Pakistan Flood Relief Fund which will be contributed to by employees and those outside the company, with Henry Schein promising to match all donations received.

Stanley Bergman, chairman and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, stated that assisting in these humanitarian efforts is the company's responsibility as a multinational organisation.

He added: "Henry Schein's work to help the people of Pakistan is part of our ongoing commitment to give back to society, which has marked our company for nearly eight decades."

This comes after the firm allied with Sirona Dental Systems last month to provide oral care equipment and supplies for a new dental clinic in Peru.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800047457-ADNFCR
