Henry Schein donates dental equipment to Israel’s Yemin Orde Youth Village
Henry Schein and its supplier partner Takara Belmont have provided a donation of state-of-the-art dental equipment to Israel's Yemin Orde Youth Village.
Designed as a home, school and safe haven for 440 at-risk and immigrant youth from around the world, the Youth Village originally sheltered homeless refugee children arriving in Israel shortly after the Holocaust, and continues to look after youngsters from countries where anti-Semitism and violence against Jewish people is rife.
To support the work done by the village, Henry Schein and Takara Belmont have donated and installed a Credia G1 dental chair, Phot-X II dental X-ray machine and other related products to enhance Yemin Orde's ability to address oral health needs.
This will allow the organisation to reallocate funds that would otherwise be dedicated to external resources and transportation costs for dental procedures that can now be conducted on-site.
Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "We at Henry Schein understand that oral health and overall health are inextricably linked, so we are incredibly pleased to help enhance the ability of the Yemin Orde Youth Village to provide essential health services."
