Henry Schein donates toothbrushes to Timmy Global Health
Henry Schein has made a donation of more than 25,000 toothbrushes to the charitable organisation Timmy Global Health.
The contribution will aid Timmy Global Health's efforts to expand access to oral healthcare for underserved populations throughout the world, many of which are affected by serious oral health problems.
Many of the toothbrushes have already been given to patients in Ecuador, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic and will continue to be distributed at mission sites throughout the year.
Timmy Global Health leads teams of medical professionals and health science students to poor and isolated communities throughout the world to provide treatment to local populations, while developing and maintaining long-term healthcare services.
Since 1997, the charity has served more than 84,000 patients in five countries, providing medical, dental and vision treatments, along with other services such as midwifery and immunisations.
Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "Henry Schein is proud to support organisations such as Timmy Global Health, whose values and commitment to helping health happen so closely align with our own."
