Henry Schein launches Ebola relief fund

3rd October 2014

Henry Schein has announced the launch of a new Ebola relief fund through its Henry Schein Cares Foundation.

The fund provides employees of the dental and healthcare company with the opportunity to support relief efforts in west Africa, where the outbreak of the deadly disease has become a global health emergency over the last few months.

Henry Schein has agreed to match all donations contributed to this fund by its members of staff, with proceeds to be channeled directly and completely to relief efforts through the Centers for Disease Control Foundation.

This money will augment donations of personal protective equipment made by the firm to support healthcare workers in the affected areas. To date, the outbreak has claimed more than 3,000 lives.

Established in 2008, the Henry Schein Cares Foundation works to foster, support and promote dental, medical and animal health by increasing access to care for communities around the world.

It has contributed aid following humanitarian crises in Haiti, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan and the US over the last few years.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801752648-ADNFCR
