Henry Schein Minerva assists student elective programme

26th January 2012

Henry Schein Minerva has highlighted the successful launch of a student elective programme it is organising alongside dental charity Bridge2Aid.

The dental supplies company has contributed grants to four King's College London students to help fund a trip to Tanzania, where they were able to work alongside Bridge2Aid and learn about oral healthcare services, reports Dentistry.co.uk.

Over the course of the trip, the students were able to carry out satisfaction surveys on the quality of treatment, as well as gaining more understanding of their responsibilities when working in developing nations.

Miriam Bouchiba, one of the students involved in the new scheme, said the trip was a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity".

She added: "Without the grant, I wouldn't have been able to afford this remarkable experience and I'm grateful to Bridge2Aid and Henry Schein Minerva for their support."

This comes after the company launched a new scheme challenging UK dental practices to improve their efficiency earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801276087-ADNFCR
