Henry Schein named in new list of world’s most admired companies

Henry Schein has once again been ranked first in the healthcare wholesalers category in Fortune's annual list of the world's most admired companies.

The company placed first within its industry in all nine sub-categories that comprise the overall ranking, including management quality, standard of products and services, innovation, value as a long-term investment; soundness of financial position, staff retention and development, community responsibility, sensible use of assets and effective global management.

It marked the second consecutive occasion on which Henry Schein has been highlighted as an industry leader and the 14th straight year in which the firm was included in the report.

Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said this development is "a testament to our team's continued dedication to serving our key constituencies with excellence and our strong commitment to the notion that we can do well by doing good".

According to its most recent financial report, the firm achieved record-breaking results in the fourth quarter of 2014, helping its net sales total for the year pass the $10 billion (6.46 billion pounds) mark for the first time.
