Henry Schein ranks top of industry in world’s most admired companies list

Henry Schein has been included in Fortune magazine's list of the world's most admired companies for the 15th consecutive year.

The organisation was ranked first out of all the companies in the healthcare wholesale industry, the third year in a row in which it has topped the category. It also placed first in its industry in all nine sub-categories that comprise the overall ranking.

To compile the list, Fortune evaluated businesses on their performance in terms of innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment value, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness.

Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "This recognition is a testament to Team Schein's dedication to serving our customers, suppliers, investors and society, as well as our commitment to helping health happen throughout the world."

Earlier this month, the company reported record-breaking financial results for 2015, thanks to a strong fourth-quarter performance.
