Henry Schein volunteers organise successful charity fun day

10th September 2013

Henry Schein recently organised a successful charity fun day in Gillingham to raise money for a local hospice.

The company's volunteer team Henry's Angels were behind the fun day for staff members and their families at the 44Two Club, which was attended by around 300 people and featured various events, including laser tag, fire safety talks and old-school sports day competitions.

Children were able to meet popular characters like Peppa Pig and Buzz Lightyear and climb inside a real fire engine, with a total of around 1,000 pounds being raised during the day.

The initiative was held in support of the EllenorLions children’s hospice chYps, with the success of the event inspiring plans to repeat the fun day next year.

Hollie Kaye, the Henry's Angels team leader for this event, said: "We are very happy that we were able to offer our Team Schein Members and families a day full of joy, and at the same time raise money for children from the hospice."

This comes after the firm announced it has provided support for a charity scheme aimed at improving standards of oral care in Malawi earlier this week.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801635818-ADNFCR
