Heraeus Kulzer’s tooth library to be used by SensAble

16th March 2009

Heraeus Kulzer’s digital library of its most popular premium dentures has been adopted by SensAble.

The latter will utilise the images in the second version of the SensAble Dental Lab System (SDLS) ? an integrated CAD/CAM solution to design and produce a wide variety of dental restorations.

By implementing Heraeus Kulzer’s “virtual teeth”, professionals will be able to design more natural looking crowns and bridges with greater precision, efficiency and consistency.

It is thought the collaboration will allow technicians of any level to be able to use the system and they will begin the process with one of the images before adjusting the size and morphology to fit the patient’s mouth and bite perfectly.

Chris Holden, president at Heraeus Kulzer, explained he was impressed with the quality and flexibility of SensAble’s technology and knew it would be the right platform to propel the firm’s digital initiatives.

He commented: “We are proud to work in partnership with SensAble in providing solutions that allow dental labs to add to their bottom line while providing superior results to the dentists.”

The company Heraeus Kulzer is headquartered in Hanau, Germany.
