Hill and Knowlton appoints UK chief operating officer

Hill and Knowlton has appointed former Merck Sharpe and Dohme global marketing lead Damaris Anderson-Supple as its new UK chief operating officer.

A health industry veteran, Ms Anderson-Supple steps into the newly-created role to assist chief executive officer Richard Millar, as well as becoming executive chair of its healthcare and wellbeing division.

The new executive's former roles include that of managing director at Organon UK and Ireland, prior to its takeover by Schering-Plough.

In her most recent job at Merck Sharpe and Dohme, she was responsible for the successful launch of an anaesthesia agent in 30 countries, as well as assisting in the related regulatory approval processes in Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

Mr Millar said: "Her sector expertise, her global perspective and first-hand experience of the changing client agenda will bring huge value to the wider agency."
