Hill-Rom achieves further growth in third quarter of 2017 fiscal year

10th August 2017

Hill-Rom has met expectations with its financial results for the third quarter of its 2017 fiscal year, which ended on June 30th 2017.

During the quarter, the company achieved a worldwide revenue total of $689 million (530.54 million pounds), which represented a five percent year-on-year increase, or a six percent rise in constant currency terms.

Its US revenue was up by four percent, while takings outside the US advanced by seven percent, or ten percent on a constant currency basis. Its frontline care business saw the most pronounced growth, thanks to the recent acquisition of Mortara.

Key highlights of the quarter include the launch of the Monarch Airway Clearance System, Envella Air Fluidized Therapy Bed and a new Bard Parker line of safety surgical instruments.

The firm also agreed a deal to sell the non-core Volker business, which will enable Hill-Rom to direct resources, investment and focus to core growth platforms.

John Greisch, president and chief executive officer of Hill-Rom, said: "We remain committed to driving sustained growth, executing our plans for margin expansion, and achieving key strategic objectives to create long-term value for patients, customers and shareholders."
