Hill-Rom launches new Welch Allyn Connex Cardio ECG
Hill-Rom has announced the launch of the new Connex Cardio electrocardiograph (ECG) system from its Welch Allyn division.
This PC-based resting ECG is designed to help improve clinician decision-making and simplify clinical workflows using the widely-recognised Veritas interpretation algorithm, which ensures uncompromised signal acquisition.
Connex Cardio can be used to identify, manage and track conditions such as heart disease and stroke by combining the proven effectiveness of Mortara technology with Welch Allyn's electronic medical record (EMR) connectivity expertise.
Users can launch from the EMR to capture and save an ECG in as few as two clicks, with numerous leading EMR systems all supported. Additionally, its WAM wireless acquisition module enables easy, efficient image capture with no need for a cable tether.
Alton Shader, president of Hill-Rom's frontline care business, which includes Welch Allyn, said: "Better patient outcomes begin with better data, which is why we incorporated the Veritas resting ECG algorithm in the Connex Cardio solution."
This marks the first product launch since Mortara became part of the Welch Allyn cardiopulmonary line. It is debuting in the US, with a global rollout planned in 2018.
