Hill-Rom launches Welch Allyn Home Hypertension Programme

1st December 2016

Hill-Rom has announced the launch of its new Welch Allyn Home Hypertension Programme, a new offering from its Welch Allyn subsidiary.

With this new programme, patients will be able to monitor their health when they are outside of healthcare settings using the Welch Allyn Home Blood Pressure Monitor, which can be seamlessly synced to a smartphone app to trace their progress.

This data will transmitted to a free clinical portal, allowing doctors to monitor patients' compliance with their treatment recommendations, while also providing an organised view of the information.

Since this clinical portal is a secure cloud-based platform, it means physicians can access patient data at any time, making it easy to track patients' blood pressure levels wherever they are.

Alton Shader, president of frontline care at Hill-Rom, said: "The Welch Allyn Home Hypertension Programme demonstrates our commitment to innovation, patients and their caregivers with easy-to-use technology and the accuracy found in our multi-parameter hospital-grade monitors."
