Hill-Rom presents new product innovations at AORN 2017
Hill-Rom has demonstrated the benefits of the latest additions to its product portfolio at the recent Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Global Surgical Conference and Expo in Boston.
The company hosted a series of educational seminars and demonstrations of the impact of surgical patient positioning on skin and nerve pressure-related injuries at AORN 2017, as well as displaying its newest operating room technology solutions.
These included the Bard Parker line of SafeSwitch weighted disposable handles, which are designed to help surgeons safely pass and disarm surgical blades during and after a procedure, as well as the new Integrated Table Motion option to combine the da Vinci Xi robotic-assisted surgical system and the TruSystem 7000dV advanced operating table.
Meanwhile, the company was able to showcase how its new iLED 7 Surgical Light can interpret conditions during a surgical case to provide optimal lighting conditions, in addition to the Allen Advance Table, which provides radiolucency during complex surgical procedures.
Dr Dirk Ehlers, president of Hill-Rom Surgical Solutions, said: "We are pleased to be sharing our knowledge and expertise at AORN 2017 with the more than 600 operating room nurses attending our seminar on preventing retained surgical items."
