Hologic names new head of EMEA and Canada regions

Hologic has announced the appointment of Jan Verstreken as its new president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Canada regions.

Mr Verstreken has more than 25 years of business experience, the majority of which was spent at the medical technology company Teleflex, and will be tasked with building and shaping Hologic's strategy for growth in these regions.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the company's president for the Asia-Pacific region, managing all commercial operations in the territory.

This move completes the reorganisation of Hologic's international sales leadership team, which has also included the appointment of Sanjay Prabhakaran as regional president for Asia-Pacific and Fernando Davico as general manager for Latin America.

Steve MacMillan, Hologic's chairman, president and chief executive officer, said: "Last year we made a commitment to strengthen our international capabilities, and I am confident that the leadership team we now have in place will further accelerate the growth of our business on a global scale."
