Horiba Medical launches Pentra XLR haematology platform

Horiba Medical has announced the launch of the new Pentra XLR, a compact haematology system that offers a range of beneficial features.

The reliable new device is an 80 samples per hour instrument with large walk-away capacity and includes reticulocytes in fluorescence. It provides fully programmable capabilities, allowing reruns to be carried out, while also features ten parameters for reticulocytes.

Other advantages include its 35 parameters, intuitive software and secured validation station, all of which help to facilitate the process of diagnosis.

The manufacturer said the new Pentra XLR system will allow scientists to "increase their expertise in anaemia characterisation and add value to their haematology labs".

Horiba recently released a flipbook calendar for 2014, which provides customers with a full guide to its complete product ranges.

Later this month, the firm will be demonstrating many of its new products at Arab Health 2014, which takes place at the Dubai International Trade Centre from January 27th to 30th.
