Horiba Scientific launches new accessories for Aqualog A-TEEM spectrometer

4th December 2017

Horiba Scientific has announced the launch of a new automatic sipper accessory and a four-sample changer unit for the Aqualog A-TEEM spectrometer.

Designed to help obtain continuous measurements in water extraction and other applications, the sipper accessory can be used to handle sampling from single sources, in addition to rinsing solutions, detergent and reverse-flow drainage.

It has also been optimised for convenient installation and operation, with built-in automatic cleaning, leak detection and protection, and is fully integrated into the new Aqualog 4.0 software sample Q for batch analysis and Aqualog DataStream Dashboard HTML software.

Meanwhile, the sample changer unit connects to the main sipper unit to aid the sampling of up to four sources with a simple connection to the sample inlet, monitoring raw, settled and finished water samples.

Adam Gilmore, fluorescence product manager for Horiba Scientific, said: "On average, Aqualog, with the new sipper and sample changer, can typically save five to ten percent of a treatment plant's annual chemical budget, simply by avoiding overdosing."
