Horiba Scientific launches new microscope

23rd April 2010

Horiba Scientific has launched a new inverted chemical imaging microscope designed to cater to the demands of life science researchers.

The new XploRA INV microscope is an addition to the company’s established XploRA analytical Raman system, featuring the same compact design and automisation features.

It is capable of incorporating up to three single frequency lasers depending on individual needs and also features an open structure, which means it can be used with options and add-ons such as micro manipulators and optical tweezers.

Additionally, the XploRA INV incorporates the science company’s DuoScan technology, meaning it can be used for rapid spectroscopic multichannel Raman imaging.

The firm states that these features make the system an ideal solution in fields such as cell research, cancer detection and pharmaceutical verification of intercellular activities.

Last month, the company released the SPRi-Plex II, a new version of its established biomolecule analysis system which offers quicker and more versatile performance.
