Horiba Scientific launches new PTI QuantaMaster 8000 spectrofluorometer

25th July 2016

Horiba Scientific has announced the launch of its new PTI QuantaMaster 8000 spectrofluorometer, the latest addition to the PTI QuantaMaster series.

The device has been optimised to provide the highest guaranteed sensitivity on the market, offering a signal-to-noise ratio of 30,000:1 RMS for water Raman – a proportion matched only by Horiba's existing Fluorolog-3.

This fully-automated modular research grade spectrofluorometer for steady-state and lifetime measurements accommodates up to four excitation sources and six detection channels, as well as featuring triple grating turrets for extended wavelength range.

It can be used with single or double monochromators for superior stray light rejection. Time-correlated single photon counting capabilities can also be added to increase flexibility, adaptability and speed.

Cary Davies, global product line manager for Horiba Scientific's fluorescence division, said: "The PTI QuantaMaster 8000 series represents the next generation for steady-state and lifetimes and is the first new fluorometer from Horiba after the acquisition of PTI."

The takeover of PTI, a leading supplier of fluorescence spectroscopy research instrumentation, was completed in early 2014.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801822385-ADNFCR
