Hospira executives to make presentation at conference

31st December 2008

Hospira has said two of its executives will present at a conference next year.

Taking place on January 14th, JP Morgan’s 27th Annual Healthcare Conference will see Christopher Begley – chairman and chief executive officer – and chief financial officer and senior vice-president of finance Thomas Werner appearing.

The presentation is set to be available through a live audiocast accessible on the company’s website, with slides also available on the online resource.

Viewers can see a replay of the webcast approximately 24 hours later.

Last month, Hospira announced Ken Meyers is to be the new senior vice-president in its Organisational Transformation and People Development department.

He will head the company’s human resources function and succeeds Henry Weishaar, who is retiring on December 31st.

Mr Meyers will report to Christopher Begley, who commented: “Ken’s extensive cross-industry experience in operations and human resources, combined with his track record of building team-based environments that align with the company’s culture and vision, will be integral to Hospira.”

Based in Lake Forest, US, Hospira reported sales of approximately $3.4 billion (2.35 billion pounds) in 2007.

It was launched as an independent company in 2004.
