Hotwire names new global consumer head

Hotwire has announced the appointment of Emma Hazan to the newly-created role of global head of consumer.

Ms Hazan has been with the agency for 12 years and has been promoted from her previous position of managing director. In this new role, she will work with Hotwire's teams in Europe and the US to develop the agency's consumer business and grow existing client contracts.

She will also provide strategic support to Hotwire's key global accounts, including those with clients such as HomeAway, SpareRoom, Deliveroo, Tinder, eBay and Twitter.

Over the course of her career with Hotwire, Ms Hazan has spearheaded campaigns for a number of high-profile brands, including O2, BlackBerry, Shazam, Hotels.com, Vodafone, Google and GoPro.

Alex MacLaverty, Hotwire's chief operating officer, said: "Emma has an incredible track record in creating and delivering award-winning consumer campaigns and has been instrumental in bringing in some of the hottest brands in the last year."

Ms MacLaverty took on the chief operating officer role last month as part of a series of changes Hotwire is making to its leadership structure.
