Hume Brophy names health PR and investor relations consultant

Hume Brophy has announced the appointment of Eva Haas, a former Schroders buy-side healthcare specialist, as a new senior consultant.

Ms Haas joins the agency's healthcare PR and investor relations practice and has been recruited in light of her more than 15 years of experience in fund management and analysing global healthcare companies.

She worked at Schroders Investment Management from 2000 to 2013, where she covered pan-European and US healthcare in London and New York. Prior to this, she worked in the analysis and valuation of biotechnology companies for the brokerage Greig Middleton.

Mary Clark, managing director for healthcare at Hume Brophy, said: "Access to capital for life sciences companies is intensive and highly competitive so Eva’s experience on the buy-side and sell-side will be a tremendous asset."

Hume Brophy launched its international healthcare practice last year, with Ms Clark joining the agency from M: Communications in order to head up the division.

The team consists of 12 members of staff, with key clients including drug development company Ergomed and biotech firm Probiodrug.
