Huntsworth Health’s medical comms head departs
Huntsworth Health's Rob Barker, the European managing director for medical communications at the group, has left the organisation.
Mr Barker was appointed to the role in spring 2013 but is understood to have departed at the end of April 2014 following his resignation, reports PRWeek.
In his now-vacated role at the company, he was in charge of European operations for the medical communications agencies Apothecom and Apothecom ScopeMedical, which between them form the APO Group.
His departure comes after the conclusion of a strong business year for Huntsworth Health, which is the second-largest division of the Huntsworth group. During 2013, the health-focused firm generated revenues of 57.1 million pounds, up by 7.1 percent year on year.
This growth was driven by the ongoing digitalisation of all Huntsworth Health agencies and the formation of a new social marketing and digital PR agency. The positive momentum is expected to continue throughout this year and beyond.
