Iams encourages owners to keep dogs healthy

5th March 2009

Iams is proud to be part of a new initiative to help canine owners keep themselves – and their pets – fit and healthy, it has stated.

The animal nutrition manufacturer has teamed up with Shape magazine to launch a scheme called Walk Your Dog, Make Life Better.

It aims to encourage people to join or create dog-walking clubs to maintain the wellbeing of their pooch.

Magazine issues over the next few months will outline to pet owners how they can maximise the time spent with their canine companion.

There will also be a corresponding website designed to help people meet and communicate with fellow dog owners.

Money will be raised through the programme for an animal cruelty prevention charity.

Kris Parlett, from Iams, commented: “We encourage everyone to join or start an Iams Dog Walking Club for an opportunity to spend more time with their canine companion.”

Iams is part of the Procter and Gamble company. The firm states that the pet nutrition and care subsidiary aims to help dogs and cats throughout every stage of their life.
