Idexx Laboratories acquires cloud technology firm rVetLink
Idexx Laboratories has announced the acquisition of cloud-based software company rVetLink, a provider of referral management solutions for veterinary specialty care hospitals.
The company's software automates the process of sharing medical records and images through an intuitive notifications system, thereby streamlining the process of referrals between primary and specialty care veterinarians.
Additionally, rVetLink's cloud technology integrates with a number of major specialty hospital management systems, including Idexx's Cornerstone and DVMAX software platforms.
Following the takeover, rVetLink cofounders Matt Russell and John McNally will become full-time Idexx employees, alongside chief technology officer Matt Spradley.
The trio will lead the rVetLink team, with Idexx planning to expand both the engineering and customer teams, accelerate the company's product roadmap, expand software capabilities and enhance the overall customer experience.
Mike Erickson, vice-president and general manager of Idexx Veterinary Software and Services, said: "We are thrilled to bring rVetLink into the Idexx family and extend its capabilities with augmented resources. This investment reinforces our commitment to advancing specialty care medicine and the broader veterinary market."
