Idexx Laboratories acquires Sneakers Software

27th December 2012

Idexx Laboratories has announced the acquisition of New York-based veterinary practice management software developer Sneakers Software.

The company is the creator of the DVMAX practice management solution and DVMAX Research electronic medical records offering, both of which will continue to be supported and further developed by Idexx.

Sneakers Software products will also be integrated with Idexx's own diagnostic offerings, while customers can expect to benefit from Idexx's ongoing efforts to improve client experiences before, during and after the patient visit.

This comes in the same year that the Sneakers Cornerstone 8.3 system was integrated with the Idexx VetConnect Plus and Pet Health Network Pro solutions.

Alexander Petersen, vice-president and general manager at Idexx Computer Systems, said: "We’re pleased to have Sneakers Software join the Idexx family and we’re fully committed to supporting customers who have put their trust in DVMAX."

Last month, the firm introduced version 1.5 of VetConnect Plus, which introduced new features such as a communications log and a diagnostic reports function.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801513422-ADNFCR
