Idexx Laboratories hires new board member

Idexx Laboratories has announced the appointment of established business expert Anne Szostak to its board of directors.

Ms Szostak is the president and chief executive officer of business consultancy firm Szostak Partners, while she also experienced great success during a 31-year career with Fleet Bank, occupying a number of executive positions.

She has also served on the boards of several other public companies, including Tupperware Brands, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and Belo.

Jonathan Ayers, chairman and chief executive officer of Idexx Laboratories, said: "Anne brings a wealth of banking, finance and human resources experience that will be extremely valuable to our board. Our board also will benefit from Anne's extensive background in public company board work."

This week, the company also announced the introduction of its new Pet Health Network Pro service, a web-based client communication and education tool for veterinarians, practice managers and their teams, as well as the Idexx VetConnect Plus software tool.
