Idexx Laboratories reports rising Q3 revenues
Idexx Laboratories has seen a year-on-year improvement in its revenues during the third quarter of 2010.
The animal health company's latest fiscal report highlights a revenue total of $296.6 million (188.5 million pounds), a four percent increase compared to Q3 2009, despite the firm noting a continuation of challenging market conditions.
Contributors to this growth include the launch of its next-generation haematology analyser ProCyte Dx, as well as ongoing strong sales of the Catalyst Dx and VetTest chemistry units.
Jonathan Ayers, chairman and chief executive officer of Idexx Laboratories, also underlined the company's success in improving the efficiency of its Idexx VetLab instruments and consumables unit, as well as its laboratory diagnostic and consulting services division.
He added: "We remain confident in the fundamental strength of our business model and in the long-term growth prospects for our core markets."
Earlier this month, the company announced the appointment of former Abbott employee Giovani Twigge as its new corporate vice-president for human resources.
