Integrated DNA Technologies opens new Singapore site

9th August 2013

Integrated DNA Technologies has announced the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Singapore following an investment of S$6 million (3.07 million pounds).

The firm – which is the world's leading supplier of custom nucleic acids – acquired the oligo business of Singaporean supplier 1st BASE in January 2012 and commenced work on the new state-of-the art hub for oligo manufacturing and support dedicated to the Asian market.

Its processes are now fully integrated with the company's operations in the US and Europe and will allow researchers throughout the region to receive quicker delivery of custom nucleic acid products.

Trey Martin, the company's chief operating officer, said: "Our new synthesis and support capabilities in Singapore increase the speed with which we can deliver Integrated DNA Technologies products to our customers in Asia by two to three days."

The firm was founded in 1987 and employs more than 300 people, with facilities located in Coralville, San Diego and Leuven.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801623295-ADNFCR
