Intervet/Schering-Plough appoints UK poultry account manager

15th February 2011

Intervet/Schering-Plough has selected Gerard Bailey-Watts as its new UK key account manager for poultry.

Mr Bailey-Watts will be tasked with providing the company's British clients in the poultry and egg production sector with guidance on health management strategies.

Coming from a poultry sector background, the new account manager has extensive experience in matters such as establishing large-scale vaccination protocols and routines and organising multi-site commercial operations.

David Schofield, business unit director at Intervet/Schering-Plough, said the appointment will strengthen the company's efforts to provide support for buyers across its product range.

"The technical and sales relationship with all of our customers is key and by recruiting Jerry we have even more to offer as we look to deliver a complete package of solutions and support," he said.

Last month, Intervet/Schering-Plough began a new study of a candidate vaccine for Rhodococcus equi, a bacterial infection that causes acute pneumonia among foals.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800406406-ADNFCR
