inVentiv Health names participatory medicine head

inVentiv Health has announced the appointment of Emma D'Arcy to the newly-created role of head of participatory medicine.

Ms D'Arcy will take up the position within the consultancy's digital and innovation team, where she will help to provide patient-centric insights to clients as they develop and launch new products and programmes.

She joins the company from Complete Health, where she has worked since 2010, while other previous employers include Wells Healthcare, Gardiner Caldwell and Adis International.

Participatory medicine is an emerging model of care that sees healthcare professionals and patients using modern communications channels to increase patient participation in healthcare decisions.

Nick Bartlett, inVentiv's London-based head of digital for Europe, said: "Emma's passion for championing the patient and her fluency in digital and social media will give our healthcare clients a completely unique perspective."
