Ipsen and Dassault Systemes announce new research collaboration

6th April 2016

Ipsen has announced a new collaboration with Dassault Systemes, a creator of 3D design software, to assist with its future drug development efforts.

The pharmaceuticals firm has selected the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to support its future innovative research programmes delivered through the Designed to Cure industry solution, to accelerate the discovery of new therapeutic solutions.

The platform utilises data integration, modelling and simulation capabilities to gain a more comprehensive view of the dysregulations linked to diseases, as well as improving and accelerating the identification of higher-quality drug candidates.

With this project, Ipsen also hopes to optimise the research and development processes of its multidisciplinary teams based at leading biotechnological and life sciences hubs in France, the UK and the US, as well as those of its worldwide network of drug development partners.

Claude Bertrand, executive vice-president for research and development and chief scientific officer of Ipsen, said: "After more than five years of partnering with Dassault Systemes on the BioIntelligence, we are pleased to achieve a key step in our collaboration with the deployment of this set of cutting-edge innovative tools."

This comes after the firm announced a new oncology research partnership with PeptiMimesis last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801816042-ADNFCR
