Ivoclar Vivadent announces IPS e.max Smile Award winners for 2016

15th June 2016

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the winners of its IPS e.max Smile Awards for 2016, a competition to find the most esthetic dental cases solved with its IPS e.max all-ceramic system.

The company presented the awards during its third International Expert Symposium in Madrid, with three finalist teams from different regions of the world attending the ceremony.

Dr Tetsuya Uchiyama and Michiro Manaka from Japan won in the Asia-Pacific bracket, while Professor Dr Petra Gierthmuhlen and Udo Plaster from Germany won the Europe, Middle East and Africa category, and Dr Luis Sanchez Ramirez and Alen Alic from the US were the winners for the Americas region.

An independent panel of experts evaluated all the entries in terms of esthetics, complexity and harmony in order to select the winners.

Judging panel member Dr Sidney Kina said: "Each team gave its best to strike a perfect balance between form and function. I can feel a passion for dentistry in all the photos."

The company states that the bronze, silver and gold winners from the competition will now gain international recognition, with their work to receive exposure at congresses and via professional journals.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801820272-ADNFCR
