Ivoclar Vivadent commences work on Austrian plant expansion

5th April 2013

Ivoclar Vivadent has officially commenced construction work on its expanded production facility in Burs, Austria.

The dental technology firm has invested five million euros (4.25 million pounds) on the development of the new centre, which will create 30 new jobs and increase the company's global manufacturing capabilities.

A ceremony was carried out earlier this week in which representatives broke ground on the development, which will see a new building added to the existing site that is set to be completed by December 2013.

It will provide additional room for manufacturing operations, logistics, goods management and customer services across three floors, in response to growing demand for its dental products worldwide.

Wolfgang Vogrin, chief production officer of Ivoclar Vivadent, said: "Sales of dental equipment, for example, have tripled in the past ten years. We are therefore increasing our production capacity."

This comes after the firm achieved a four percent year-on-year sales increase in 2012.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801567474-ADNFCR
