Ivoclar Vivadent launches new BioUniversal KFG Plus alloy
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of its economical new universal alloy BioUniversal KFG Plus, a successor and replacement for the BioUniversal KFG brand.
Suitable for a wide variety of indications, the new product is easy to cast and offers a lower density, allowing users to save costs with each crown and helping dental laboratories to calculate their prices more profitably.
Its copper-free composition prevents the inside of the telescope crowns and conical crowns from oxidation and ensures no reactions or discolouration of the tissue, while it retains an intense yellow colour despite the low gold content, giving the veneer a natural appearance.
BioUniversal KFG Plus is particularly suitable for onlays, crowns, small and large spanned bridges, posts, bars, structural elements, implant superstructures and metal denture castings, and can be applied using milling and double-crown techniques, as well as for veneering with low-fusing ceramics and the light-curing laboratory composite SR Nexco.
This complements the existing benefits of SR Nexco, which include a lifelike appearance, layer thickness tolerance and flexibility of polymerisation.
