Ivoclar Vivadent receives innovation award for Monobond Etch and Prime

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced that its groundbreaking Monobond Etch and Prime offering has been presented with an innovation award by a German dental dealer and an industry newspaper.

Monobond Etch and Prime is recognised as the first self-etching glass-ceramic primer in the world, offering the capability to successfully etch and silanate glass-ceramic surfaces in a single step.

Thousands of dentists took part in a poll to vote on the awards, with Ivoclar Vivadent's product taking first place in the materials and instruments category by a wide margin, winning just over 20 percent of the votes cast.

It is a reflection of the significant popularity the primer has seen from the market since it was introduced, due to the fact it eliminates the need for etching contact surfaces with hydrofluoric acid.
